Wrightstown Elementary School

Wrightstown Elementary School, part of the highly rated Council Rock School District in Newtown, PA, underwent significant additions and renovations. The school district engaged CHA to provide project management services for this initiative, which included the construction of six new classrooms and a gymnasium, along with comprehensive renovations of all existing spaces.

The upgrades feature new mechanical systems, including a chiller, high-efficiency boilers, and a natural gas generator. This Pennsylvania school also received a new sprinkler system supported by a 20,000-gallon underground fire protection storage tank and standalone pumphouse, along with LED lighting and enhanced security systems.

During the design phase, CHA’s expertise proved invaluable, identifying and removing abandoned septic tanks and proposing cost-effective solutions to address challenges, like a shallow rock shelf for the installation of new grease interceptors and an underground storage tank. Despite unusually high rainfall, our leadership kept the project on schedule and under budget, delivering a high-quality educational facility for the school’s 400+ students.
