Upper Dublin Public Library

In 2020, Upper Dublin Public Library in Fort Washington, PA, found a new home in a state-of-the-art facility, redefining its role as a cornerstone of community engagement. More than just a place for books, the library serves as a dynamic Pennsylvania destination where visitors can access resources, pursue learning opportunities, and connect with one another in a welcoming environment.

CHA was instrumental in this transformation, guiding the repurposing of an unused office building into a vibrant library space. Our expertise in feasibility studies, design, and construction oversight resulted in building systems modernized for energy efficiency and adapted to support the library’s diverse programs. The project introduced significant upgrades, including safety enhancements, energy-efficient systems, interior renovations, and full ADA compliance.

Securing grants through the Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program and Keystone Grants further supported the project, making this ambitious fit-out both financially viable and forward-thinking.
