Mercedes Plant, Multiple Projects

The esteemed Mercedes Plant in Vance, Alabama, embarked on a major expansion designed to enable highly flexible production. CHA provided complete fire suppression system design, material, and commissioning services for multiple projects at the plant, including the massive BR167 body shop. The scope of work for BR167 was extensive, covering 1.3 million square feet of assembly area, including early suppression fast response (ESFR) systems at the roof level and installing sprinklers beneath multiple obstructions, along with pre-action type sprinkler systems.

Throughout the project's timeline, CHA relocated the water storage tank and existing fire pump room to new areas without causing any disruption to production or delays in the project schedule or system commissioning. Our team's diligent coordination ensured a smooth and successful implementation while keeping the production process running seamlessly.
