Miami-Dade County contains three of the most heavily used corridors — I-395, SR 836 and I-95. With thousands of vehicles traveling through daily, improvements to I-395 will help improve traffic flow into the county. The reconstruction of I-395 includes an iconic bridge over Biscayne Boulevard, redefining the Miami skyline. To enhance the community and increase mobility, our team is providing construction, engineering and inspection services for the reconstruction of 1.4 miles of I-395, partial widening of the MacArthur Causeway Bridge and improvements to the intersection and ramps. As an extension of their staff, we’ll provide oversight for the construction of the Miami-Dade Expressway Authority.
Focusing on community, safety, mobility and sustainability, this expansive design-build project will add additional capacity to I-395 with three through lanes in each direction and provide separate connector ramps for traffic to and from I-95. Direct connections to I-395 and I-95 will alleviate current weaving conditions and improve safety.
Reconstruction of 1.4 miles of I-395 will improve traffic flow into the county.
Signature bridge will span 1,025 feet over the Miami skyline.
Over 400,000 vehicles travel through this corridor daily.
