ADNY Energy Assessments and Master Planning

The Archdiocese of New York (ADNY) established an energy conservation initiative to improve its portfolio's energy and operational efficiency of 1,900 buildings, including churches, schools, healthcare facilities, and multifamily buildings. CHA conducted comprehensive ASHRAE Level 2 energy audits for over 90 facilities operated by the ADNY to investigate energy use issues and to identify opportunities for energy efficiency improvements.

Along with performing the audit work, CHA assisted the ADNY with retro-commissioning (RCx) services related to NYC Local Law 87 compliance and helped to develop an energy master plan. In addition, infrared (IR) thermography was used to perform non-invasive surveys of heating and cooling systems and identify areas needing additional insulation.
