CHA today announced that it has named Ray Rudolph, Jr., PE as Chief Executive Officer. Rudolph succeeds Raymond J. Kinley, Jr., who is retiring on December 31st, 2011.

“Throughout his career, Ray has continuously demonstrated the technical expertise, management skills and leadership qualities necessary to position CHA for long-term success,” said Ray Kinley. “His vision for the firm, as well as his ability to relate to our clients’ needs, makes him an outstanding choice to lead CHA as we grow in every market segment we serve.”

Rudolph has held numerous positions of responsibility during his 28 years at CHA, including Project Manager, Water and Wastewater Group Manager, Assistant Director of the Civil Engineering and Planning Division, and his most recent role of Global Opportunities Market Leader.

Rudolph is credited for conceiving of, creating and managing the growth of CHA Sports, CHA’s successful sports facility planning and design practice. Since its inception in 1994, CHA Sports has completed high-profile sports facility planning and design projects at hundreds of educational, institutional, and municipal venues across the country.

Rudolph and CHA’s President and Chief Operations Officer, Rodney A. Bascom, PE, will lead CHA using a corporate office approach in which Rudolph will lead the firm’s strategic acquisition, expansion and growth efforts while Bascom will manage the firm’s market, technical and support operations. Bascom has over three decades of engineering and project management experience, including 27 years with CHA, many of which were spent managing the firm’s New England regional operations.
